Winter bridal session at Paradise Point Camp Lejeune NC

I knew that when I moved here over 6 years ago and started my photography journey I wanted to shoot stylized sessions. Whether it is a family or children's session, or for a couple that didn't quite get exactly what they wanted out of their wedding and bridal portraits the day of their wedding. The Roberson's were such a delight to work with and holy wow look at Mrs. R! Spitting image of Miss Marilyn Monroe, am I right?! I worked alongside my friend Ryan on this session, we brainstormed as to how we could make their dreams of having beautiful wedding images come to life, ones they would love forever. We decided on a winter theme and the weather did not disappoint that day, it was windy and cold!

The 3 tiered naked cake was an almond vanilla naked cake with powdered sugar sprinkled across the fresh strawberries and raspberries. Melissa at Not just a cake lady provided us with the awesome wedding cake and the two saucer sized cakes which we all nibbled on after! The amazing stationary which was provided by Liz at Pomp Creative was gorgeous. The sage green and red lined invitations were beautiful, I loved the added touches of the crimson red ribbon. The calligraphy was written in gold which Liz and I agreed is one of our favorite colors. Of course I bought my antique furniture and small findings from my friend Justine at The Eclectic Nest. I love rummaging through her unique finds and squeal every time I find a goodie I can use for a session and double it as a fun accent inside my country style home. Lastly my friend Humberto was there to shoot a behind the scenes look of our session. Did I mention my friends are the best?!

Although the day was a tad "winter'ish" we did catch the last glimpse of the sunset over the brackish water along the river, and a full moon to boot. I mean who wouldn't want to "renew their vows" at a place called Paradise Point? The day was complete with champagne, cake, giggles, and good friends. So friends if your out there reading this and you need a photographer for your wedding day or if you didn't quite get the portraits you anticipated on your wedding day and want a stylized "redo" contact me or my besties aka the crew. ~ Until next time XO Amy Jo

I'd like to thank the many wonderful vendors (and my besties)  that collaborated with us on this session.
