Why have just one photo shoot when you can have 2 at once? My friend Autumn (very fitting for our fall photo session) wanted to have an adult cake smash to memorialize her leaving her 20's. Oh the 20's I remember those years but vaguely.. lol. I was super excited to take these for Autumn and had thought about how fun, carefree, and silly we were going to make this session once she asked me, but then her husband called me. Her husband wanted to re propose to her on the day of her smash cake because he had never bought her a "real wedding ring." He whole heartedly said he wants to marry her again, and a thousand times over because "she/they deserve it", AND it had to be a secret! Whaaaaat?! Talk about tears and pressure! Oh man, I did not know how I was going to pull this one off. I did ask my friend Ryan to come with me to shoot as well just in case I welled up with tears and couldn't see through my viewfinder, lol, but seriously.
These two, nothing but love for them, they handle every day struggles with finesse and roll with the punches like no other family I have ever seen. They both have big hearts, and to see them so much in love after the years they have been together is enlightening. They love hard, they pray hard, and they are tough to boot. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of two very special moments in your lives. Autumn thank you for being such a good friend. I wish you two all the best wherever this life takes you! Until next time.. XO Amy Jo
