A Wilmington NC Wedding at The Loft.

I was contacted about a little backyard ceremony for some pending nuptials for the B family. I was super thrilled to document their small wedding and then hurricane Joaquin decided he wanted to step in and shake things up a bit. Mother Nature is fickle like that but the B family didn't even bat an eyelash, they secured The Loft in downtown Wilmington NC in a pinch and everything went off without a hitch. We had a great patch of weather and we were able to go outside and do a little walk about in the local downtown area where we took some bridal portraits. Mrs. B is expecting a little boy and we kept giggling at how her little blue rose flower petals kept dragging around under her dress that night, leaving "something blue" wherever she went. She was radiant and their entire ceremony was so fun and intimate. The guests got down and as always there are those few that crack me up and steal the show on the dance floor (see below.) Yes, there is always that "one guy", lol, but the B's daughter got down on the dance floor too and so did this cute little man with a head full of curls, he stole my heart that night. He may have been less than 2 feet but he sure was adorable.

The venue was modern yet chic with its fixtures and floor to ceiling glass room where we set up a mock photo booth for special guests. The food was traditional style Indian food and that was one of my favorite things, me and food, I won't ever refuse it if you offer! The groom serenaded his bride at one point in the evening with a reggae style song it was John Legends "All of me" and was perfectly fitting for the two of them. The DJ played the latest modern hits and everybody hit the dance floor. It was a great night and I am so happy you asked me to document it for you.

I did have a second shooter with me for the evening my friend Ryan Shedrick of Ryan Shedrick Photography http://www.ryanshedrick.com/. Having a 2d shooter can sometimes be vital for weddings as it can be somewhat difficult to split yourself to be in two places at once. It's always great to ask if that is an add on option when looking for your photographer. Ryan and I have combined services for several events and we also offer a photo booth as an add on option as well. If you are looking for a photographer for your upcoming ceremony, special event, or wedding don't hesitate to contact me! Enjoy this wonderful and love filled gallery. Until next time XO Amy Jo
