A whimsical country chic wedding. The Lucas Family.

My dear friend mentioned in passing one time to me that she had hired a photographer for her real wedding and was trying to stay within their financial means at the time. Sadly she told me there were only a "few images" from their entire wedding day that she would print and put into a drawer where they would stay for years, because even looking at them brought up the thought of how she should have saved more and did more research for her photographer. The thing that I preach to my clients about wedding images is this is not the one thing you want to skimp on! You may have beautiful flowers, great food, a luxurious venue but will it all be remembered in great detail months from then, years from then, decades from then? How will you remember every detail if you don't hire a photographer that can most accurately bring your whimsical wedding back to life time and time again every time you gaze at your portraits or wedding album? Make the best choice in hiring your photographer that fits your desire in how you want your images portrayed. Save for it, it will be well worth it in the long run I promise you. How much time and effort have you put into your wedding up until this point? Don't let it all go down in history in vain with sub par images! Also make sure when choosing your photographer that their galleries are indicative of the style you would like portrayed for your wedding images. I was heartbroken for her, and I dearly love her as a friend I could not leave her with zero images of her and her husband's special day for the rest of their lives. So we recreated the day in a most magical way...

During this time I collaborated with 2 of my greatest photographer friends that were local, we really wanted to work together and bring this entire wedding recreation to life, and the "L" family's anniversary was quickly swooping in on us. We worked amazingly well together for the "L" family in bringing this session to fruition down to every tiny detail. Props, wardrobe, hair and makeup, location, cupcakes, cake, champagne, accessories, literally the whole shebang. My friend Melissa from Spliced Frame Productions even created a video for us which will be released soon. You can find Melissa here https://www.facebook.com/SplicedFrameProductions and my good friend Paulina Gwaltney who has recently relocated to New Mexico, sad face :( New Mexico has gained an amazing photographer, you can find her here: https://www.facebook.com/PaulinaGwaltneyPhotography?fref=ts&ref=br_tf

The cakes and cupcakes are from https://www.facebook.com/Saltedsprinkle?fref=ts&ref=br_tf hair and makeup was done by https://www.facebook.com/lcbeautyblob and some of our wardrobe was even custom made by my friend Amy at https://www.facebook.com/Graciemaeboutique?fref=ts&ref=br_tf I love that all of us vendors/artists worked together to make this happen, thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you! Another special thank you to our "models" or Mr. and Mrs L's friends for being the bridesmaids and groomsmen. I love that you guys surprised them with a toast and uber happy you all loved the yummy food, and the champagne :)
